It’s the beginning of the new year and of course talk about releasing, resolutions, and new beginnings is in the air. I know that I can begin anew any day, any time. Still, there is something about starting a year – and in this case a decade (!) – with intentions anew, dreams anew, etc.
Today’s Daily Word was right on for me. It spoke of releasing that which no longer serves me. Hmm – I can certainly think of baggage that I carried with me not just from this last year to the new one, but from year to year to year. I’m ready to release, the old thought patterns, emotions, behaviors, people, physical ‘stuff’, and situations that are not for my highest good.
The Daily Word also spoke of resolving to focus my attention on “being” rather than on “doing.” I am so there. I particularly do, do, do in the attempt to have the result of money flowing in. This excessive doing takes time and energy away from being focused on God and expanding my spirit, while simultaneously moves me towards ego, fear, and thoughts of lack. God is my source, and the more time I spend on being, the closer I feel to Source and things flow with ease and grace.
There is one big fact which I think you ought to have in mind as you approach the new year, and it is that life will give back to you just exactly what you give to life. - Dr. Norman Vincent Peale
Dear Spirit –
With Your help, may I release all that needs releasing, and move from a human doing to a human being. I set my intention on participating more richly in Life through nourishing my soul and my relationship with You. And as I give unto Life, so shall Life return to me an abundance of blessings.

The Signal is Out
“When you begin to understand Law of Attraction, and you understand that which is like unto itself is drawn, then it is easier and easier to understand that you are offering a signal, and the entire Universe responds.” - Abraham (Excerpted from 06.20.98 Seattle, WA workshop)
The signal I am offering to the Universe today – and since Sunday – is the very passionate desire to relocate up north, to be in community, in nature, to nourish my soul in ways unique to the Verde Valley/Red Rock Country area of Arizona. And, this desire (and perhaps my stubbornness) makes me put out to the Universe that we will be in our new home by the end of August, having gotten there in ease and grace and in accordance with God’s Will.
I do not ask of God “how” this will occur. I know that when I finally asked for God’s help to leave Santa Fe, I received it in ways I’d have thought ridiculous or impossible if anyone had predicted the “how”. But I surrendered, committed to my part, and left the big “how” to Spirit. Within six months I had relocated to the Phoenix area, far less time than the three year plan I had originally sketched out.
With fiery passion in my heart, lessons learned from the past, my life partner Rog by my side, and God’s power and grace, I move forward to realizing my dreams. I am attracting that to which I am drawn and the Universe is responding with a big time “Now”!
I am so grateful.

Are You Listening?
The Universe is always speaking to us using nature, intuition, and other means to get its message across. But are we listening? The sooner we pay attention to what the universe is telling us, the less we fight the river. - Science of Mind, 12.03.08
One way the Universe - or Spirit - sends me messages is through dreams. And, in the wee hours of this morning, I got some timely messages that I am prepared to take note of.
I had some powerful dreams about Santa Fe, NM. I had lived there for about 7 years until moving to AZ almost 6 years ago. While there, I was not a happy camper and found myself to not be the upbeat person I usually am; I felt my soul was dying.
Having grown up and lived in New York City for 41 years, a melting pot of 8 million people or so, New Mexico was a very different place to live than I was accustomed to – and I did not take well to it. I have not kept in touch with the vast majority of people I met there, and I’ve only been back once since “leaving Dodge” and that was solely to attend a conference. It’s a time of my life that I’ve simply not wanted to be reminded of.
But it seems that now that we are preparing to move to a smaller and more rural community, it is time for me to heal my New Mexico stint. There will be some similarities between where we relocate to in AZ and the places I lived in and people I met while living in NM. I want to build a joyful, full life in our new community, so it behooves me to heal my past and make peace with NM.
Thanks, Spirit, for the message. I’m listening, and I am open to Your guidance.
