All is Well and All is Good

“Blessed is the person who is too busy to worry in the daytime and too sleepy to worry at night.” - Unknown

... And blessed is my morning meditation practice to dissipate the fears that creep into my mind in the middle of the night!

Today I listened to the self-hypnosis CD Peace of Mind (Barrie Konicov) and it enabled me to let go of agitation. And, when I let go of worry, God can more easily get my attention - and I can get His help. The good ‘ol “Let go and let God.”

Today I live a faith-filled day. I know God is in charge, Divine Order IS and it does prevail: all is well. Ahhh.

“Today I claim my Truth. The presence and power of God work in, through and as my life, blessing others and blessing me. I recognize the interconnectedness of all human beings and trust that every situation and person has the potential to contribute to my life in a positive way. I create order in my life and seek only the good, assured that as I seek, so I shall find.” - Excerpt from Daily Word, July 1, 2010

Perfectionism

Yesterday it was pointed out to me that I’d made an error in uploading some files for a client. It wasn’t a life-and-death serious error, but for the perfectionist that I can be, I could have beat myself up badly. But I did not.

Once again another shift of consciousness is solidifying inside me. As a spiritual being having a human experience it is inevitable that I will not operate perfectly. Nope, not 100% of the time. Wearing this spacesuit of humanness, perfection is simply not possible. Hence, it’s pretty silly to badger myself when I fail to do something in a perfect manner.

This does not mean I intentionally stop trying to do my best. What it does means is that I do the best I can, then let the results go. Whatever happens - happens, and I trust that all is well.

Throughout it all, God is with me and all is in Divine Order. I may not be perfect as a human doing, but as a spiritual being, I am. And, that’s just fine with me.

A Different Day

“Mining the moment for something that feels good, something to appreciate, something to savor, something to take in, that's what your moments are about. They're not about justifying your existence. It's justified. You exist. It's not about proving your worthiness. It's done. You're worthy. It's not about achieving success. You never get it done. It's about "How much can this moment deliver to me?"” - Abraham, Excerpted from the 04.20.02 San Antonio, TX workshop #391

Today I decided to work at home and not schedule any client appointments so that I could focus on the client work awaiting me here in my office.

OK, I’m not setting the alarm clock. It’s a chance to catch up on sleep because usually 7 days/week I’ve got outside commitments commencing at 8 AM.

Ohhh, that means my morning practice is going to be off schedule. Oh well, I can at least squeeze some spiritually-focused reading in...

What a chance to have a sit down hot, homemade pancake breakfast with Rog we never break bread in the morning these days. The clock is ticking...

Ah, a good day for a short photo-op for my upcoming e-newsletter. It won’t take much time...

And, I need to research where to get our haircuts. Now’s as good a time as any.

Great article here about prayer - let me read it now...

Time for some lunch... I’ll eat at my desk to play catch up with time.

And, on and on and on.

In the past I would have engaged in self-flagellation for not doing the work I had planned to accomplish. These days, not so. I am present and enjoying what I am doing. I’m enjoying the moments that I’m stringing along that comprise this first day of April in 2010. And it’s actually been “productive”! So what’s the issue? It’s just a different type of day unfolding because I’m letting it do so with Spirit’s help.

I am not here to treat myself harshly, nor am I here to push, push, push. I’m not here to prove or justify myself. I am here to rest in the joy, love, and peace of God’s embrace.

It’s one day at a time with Spirit by my side. Whatever I am doing, all is perfect, all is in Divine Order. So why get bent out of shape because I didn’t follow my calendar or ‘to-do’ list? I am exactly where I am supposed to be and all is well.

Thank You, Spirit, for Your Wisdom making its way through to me, along with Your Peace, Love, and Joy.

Winter Light

With the solstice occurring today, I gratefully am reminded that the shortest days of winter have passed. Spring is coming soon, new budding life on its way.

Now the days will be longer and more light will be upon us. And as new buds strive toward the light, I too strive towards the light of God. As light is the source in which fresh flowers are nourished, I too am nourished by the Light, God, my only Source.

There is Divine Order and all is well.

The End of the World?

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending... - Revelation 1:8

Julia Attaway writes about meeting conflicts surrounding parent-teacher conferences and her children’s activities schedule in a recent Daily Guideposts story.

“After the initial shock of discovering my scheduling mega disaster, I forced myself to take a deep breath. There’s only one thing that helps me when I’m faced with mind-boggling conundrums like this and that’s to remember that logistical problems aren’t actually problems, they’re puzzles. They belong in the crossword-solving part of my brain, not the worry center. No one is going to die or be scarred for life or even require a trip to the doctor if I don’t figure this out. The only true danger is that I’ll stress out and start being unpleasant to my family. So I tossed the problem onto the back burner, where so many insoluble difficulties simmer into solutions.

Last night, around midnight, I think I figured out a way to handle Monday. The logistics require higher math to follow and a cast of thousands to execute, but the plan will probably work. And if it doesn’t, then it doesn’t. It’s neither the beginning nor the end of the world.

Lord, help me to remember that the world won’t fall apart if I’m not able to make things run perfectly smoothly.

With so many additional tasks added to my To Do list related to our relocation, feeding my soul on the new communities’ many events and activities, growing our business, etc., I am grateful for the reminders Julia offers.

My take is: worrying is not necessary; prioritization is helpful; ask for help. Most of all, I am not in control of the world - Spirit is.

God, I know that Divine Order is at work and the world runs perfectly because of it and You, not me. Help me to know what is important in my life, and to take care of myself so that I may serve You well in peace and in joy.

All I Wanna Do...

... is be with God.

There I am at peace and safe.

Sitting in the Silence, I feel so peaceful, protected, and cared for. And, how could I not be? For God is with me always – I could not be breathing, living now if it were not for Spirit.

My life is in the care of God, and I trust in divine order.

I will keep my thoughts stayed on Thee and be at peace.

Intention

My intention is to walk through this day consciously. I want to BE peace, BE love, BE patience, BE joy.

It is my intention to make this day one I enjoy (in joy) and in which I am relaxed as I provide excellent service to my clients, complete my tasks, take care of me, devote time to my personal relationships.

Spirit of the Most High –
Co-create a day with me in which I do Your Will, and all flows with ease and grace in perfect Divine Order. Fill me with gratitude at every turn. Thank You. So it is.

All I Want for Christmas...

... is my one front tooth!

I chipped my #8 tooth in my Girl Scout days (40+ years ago) and eventually landed up with a crown. Last fall, I was eating ice cream and – surprise! – I bit into a piece of Heath bar, jarring my crown. The crown not only came off, but the actual tooth came with it!

The permanent solution is a 9+ month, expensive process. The temporary solution is cosmetic only, with my dentist using some kind of super glue to anchor it as best as possible. This lasts for 4 – 12 weeks at a time; and, the crown falls out with little or no advanced notice. As you might imagine, this situation can be angst-producing. Last night without notice, my tooth came out again, only a few weeks after having it super-glued in for the 3rd time. Once again, my world stopped.

As I was engaged in this morning’s practice (it’s too early to call the dentist), my anguish came up again, mainly about how my mouth and smile look. After all, it’s right in front! Then the thought crossed my mind that this is just my tooth. I still have the use of my legs and arms – I am not incapacitated. I can still see and hear and I have my mind. I’m not in pain. I am blessed.

The worse effects of this situation is that I have a little difficulty eating (believe me, I won’t starve!), forming certain sounds is impaired, and there’s this gap right in front of my mouth, so my smile is ugly. But worse comes to worse, I can place my hand in front of my mouth as I talk so as to not gross anyone out.

Yes, I really do want my front tooth back, whole and healthy. Until the permanent solution is enacted, I will remember that I am already whole and healthy. There is Divine Order, and as usual, something to be learned from the situation and another way to grow closer to Spirit. I truly am grateful.
